Skills and Safety

Meeting health, safety and OSH requirements, the Agribusiness Training safety programmes are designed to increase the skill level and confidence of people working with machinery or chemicals in land-based industries.

Agribusiness Training offers short, part-time safety programmes for chainsaws, tractors, ATVs (All Terrain Vehicles) and farm bikes, 4WDs (Four Wheel Drives) and agrichemicals.

All of our programmes are NZQA unit standard based and credits earned build towards local and national qualifications.  Unit standards successfully completed from our safety programmes provide credits towards the Agribusiness Training Certificate in Land Based Skills and the National Certificate in Agriculture (Levels 2, 3 and 4).
